Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, how BioTracker LLC ("BioTracker," "we," "us") handles consumer health data in the BioTracker iOS application and on downloadbiotracker.com. BioTracker LLC is the entity responsible for this data. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What we mean by consumer health data

Consumer health data is information you provide, or that we collect, that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. For BioTracker, that is mostly the routine information you type in yourself.

2. Categories we collect

  • Supplements, peptides, medications, and other compounds you choose to track, including dosage amounts, units, and administration routes
  • Schedules, cycles, phases, reminders, and quiet hours
  • Dose logs and adherence entries (taken, skipped, rescheduled)
  • Injection-site or administration-site information you record
  • Inventory records, including label photos you save from a scan
  • Free-form notes you attach to items in your stack
  • Body or health-related measurements you enter, such as height and weight
  • Apple Health / HealthKit imports limited to date of birth, biological sex, height, and body weight, and only after you grant the relevant iOS permissions
  • Private progress photos, along with the notes, dates, and folders you attach to them
  • Profile information such as birth date, biological sex, goals, and biography
  • Profile and community content you publish, which can reveal what you take if you choose to share it

Private progress photos stay private in authenticated, access-controlled storage scoped to your account. They are not published unless you separately choose a photo for a public profile or cover image, or publish content yourself.

3. Why we collect it

  • To show, organize, and sync your own stack across your devices
  • To deliver the reminders and schedules you configure
  • To display your adherence, measurements, and history back to you
  • To return AI-assisted identification results for a label scan or product lookup you submit
  • To publish only the content you explicitly choose to make public
  • To provide support when you ask for it
  • To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud and abuse
  • To meet legal obligations

We do not use consumer health data for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning or generative-AI models.

4. Where it comes from

  • Directly from you, in the app or by email to support
  • From your device, where you grant camera, photo, notification, or Health permissions
  • From Apple Health, limited to date of birth, biological sex, height, and weight, at your direction
  • From Apple, RevenueCat, and Insert Affiliate, for subscription and referral attribution state (not health content)
  • From OpenAI, for the identification result returned for a scan or lookup you submit

5. What is disclosed, and to whom

BioTracker does not sell consumer health data. We disclose it only as needed to run the Service:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, private file storage, and server-side functions. It may process and store your stack data, dose logs, measurements, notes, and user-uploaded photos.
  • OpenAI — AI-assisted label scanning and item lookup. It may temporarily process a cropped and compressed scan image, its OCR text, or a health-adjacent item search query or product link you submit, in order to return an identification result. We send these requests with storage disabled (store: false) and do not use the data to train models. We cannot control a provider's own limited security-related processing.
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple where used, notification and OS services, and App Store subscription processing. Apple does not receive your stack or HealthKit contents from BioTracker.
  • RevenueCat — subscription entitlement and lifecycle data and referral attribution attributes only, not stack or HealthKit contents.
  • Insert Affiliate — creator/referral attribution identifier or code and related referral metadata only, not stack or HealthKit contents.
  • Other users, only for content you deliberately publish through community features.
  • Law enforcement or other parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice.

BioTracker LLC has no corporate affiliates, so no affiliated companies receive your consumer health data.

6. How long we keep it

We keep consumer health data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated data, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, transaction, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or routine backup purposes. Backups age out on their normal cycle.

7. Your choices and rights

Access

You can view all of the consumer health data you have entered directly in the BioTracker app. You can also email us to request a copy of the consumer health data associated with your account.

Correction

You can edit or delete any individual item, log, schedule, note, or photo in the app at any time. If something cannot be corrected in the app, email us.

Deletion

You can delete individual records in the app, or delete your entire account — see Delete Account. Deleting your account initiates deletion of your account data, subject to the retention exceptions described above.

Withdrawing permission

You can revoke camera, notification, and Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings, which stops future collection through those sources. In the BioTracker iOS app, go to Profile & Account → Privacy & Health Data to withdraw consent for future consumer health data collection. BioTracker will record the withdrawal and sign you out; existing data remains in your account until you delete it or request deletion. Public profile and stack sharing require a separate opt-in. From the same Privacy & Health Data screen, you can withdraw that permission, which makes your profile private and hides shared stack items. You can also unpublish individual community content at any time. For help or to make a request, email support@downloadbiotracker.com or call +1 (916) 245-6750.

8. Making a request

Email support@downloadbiotracker.com or call +1 (916) 245-6750 and tell us what you would like us to do. We do not charge for requests.

Verifying your identity

To protect your data, we verify requests using information already associated with your account — normally by confirming you can send email from the address on the account, and where necessary by asking you to confirm account details we already hold. We ask only for what is needed to match you to your account, and we do not create new records of sensitive identity documents.

Appeals

If we deny your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to that decision or emailing support@downloadbiotracker.com with "Privacy appeal" in the subject line. We will review the appeal and inform you in writing of the outcome and the reasons for it. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
